The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade launched in March 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. But be part of your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
